Photo batik is when the print are exposed under the enlarger at their appropriate timing, but before they are put into the developer, you can choose places like below that you don't want to develop and you can do this by squirting washing up liquid on the exposed paper. I did this with the safety light on under the enlarger so I could see where I wanted it.
